West Coast Swing

Currently the fastest growing dance in the world!. A child of the original Lindy Hop, West Coast Swing has experienced explosive global growth due to it’s adaptability to almost every kind of music from Big Band to current Pop & Hip Hop. From Canada to Brazil, The West Coast to Russia, all through Europe and Back to America, the dance is so simple to learn that you can be doing the basics in just 2 or 3 lessons.  VK studios is proud to have 7 Time United States Swing Champion, and Swing Dance Hall of Famer Robert Cordoba teaching our classes.

Hustle

Born in the US during the Saturday Night Fever era, Hustle is the umbrella name for the varied dances done to Disco, (also EuroBeat or House) music. Though there are several variants, the most popular style is the New York or 3-Count Hustle. SImple dance yet having hundreds of cool moves.  All styles of Hustle are partner dancing as opposed to line dancing like John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever

Other Club Dances

There are many other dances that fall under the specialty dance umbrella. Though we don’t offer them in group lessons, we do have teachers that teach these in private lessons. Some of the many dances include Lindy, Balboa, Shag, Nightclub 2 Step, Jitterbug, East Coast Swing, and Carolina Shag. In the Country Western style they also have Waltz, Progressive Two Step and Double Two Step.
